We have replaced BayStack 350T-HD with 450-24T to get sufficient backplane capacity.
Bay Networks, Inc. has developed the BayStack 450-24T, a 24-port Fast Ethernet workgroup
switch with a generous 2.5 Gbit/s back-plane capacity.
The BayStack 450- 24T's ample backplane capacity supports sufficiently high frame rates
for its 24 full-duplex Fast Ethernet ports.
The Tolly Group benchmarked the actual backplane capacity of the BayStack
450-24T against two 24-port Fast Ethernet switches: 3Com SuperStack II Switch 3300
and Intel Express 510T Switch and release
the benchmark report.

We measure the performance of MPICH with SKaMPI benchmark suite.
The obtained results are quite usefule for writing portable and fast MPI programs.
